Seward Johnson in White Plains, NY

White Plains is a city in Westchester County in New York state and is most noted for an eighteenth century battle that took place nearby, although the thing that most impressed me while I was there today was the above sculpture of a young lawyer by Seward Johnson, who has many other public works around the world. He shows a great interest in depicting people in ordinary situations, many of them reading. The link below is to a page on Johnson's website showing a number of characters reading.
